2014-03-07 | In cooperation with 8 European countries, the Europeana1914-1918 project has digitised and made available 400,000 newspapers, maps, trench journals, photographs, posters, manuscripts, song lyrics and other rare historical documents. The conference “Rediscovering the war experience” brings together historians, archivists, curators and researchers to examine this vaste digital corpus from different thematic and historiographic aspects and how it can be used to create new services and applications. Digital resources like the Great War portal, the virtual exhibiton and ecducational websites will be presented as well as a selection of WW1 films from the European Film Gateway 1914 project.
Registration to this conference is free but mandatory via Eventbrite until 23rd March.
